Personal Data We Collect

• Account data — your email address and login credentials.
• Content you provide — the situations, prompts, tone selections, and screenshots you submit to generate scripts.
• Usage and telemetry — how you interact with the Service, such as features used, scripts generated, and tone preferences selected.
• Technical data — device identifiers, IP address, and similar information collected automatically.
• Person notes — optional names or descriptions of people you associate with saved scripts.
• Screenshots you upload — images of text conversations you choose to share with the Service to generate scripts. These are processed to generate your response and are stored as part of your account data.

How We Use Your Data

• to create and manage your account;
• to provide and operate the Service, including generating scripts;
• to maintain security and prevent fraud and abuse;
• to improve and develop the Service;
• to provide customer support;
• to send service-related communications, and marketing where permitted.
• to analyze anonymized and aggregated usage patterns to understand how people communicate in difficult situations and to improve the quality of our AI-generated responses. This analysis uses de-identified data only — it cannot be traced back to your account or identity.
• to develop, train, or improve AI models used within the Service, using anonymized and aggregated data only. We do not use your personally identifiable conversations to train AI models without your explicit consent.

Anonymized and Aggregated Data

We may create anonymized, aggregated datasets derived from usage of the Service. This means we remove all information that could identify you — your name, email, account, and any personal details you provided — before using the data for any of the following purposes:

• Improving the quality and accuracy of AI-generated scripts within the Service.
• Understanding patterns in how people communicate in difficult interpersonal situations.
• Research and development of new features and products.
• Sharing insights with research partners, investors, or potential acquirers of the Service, in de-identified form only.

Anonymized, aggregated data does not identify you and is not subject to the same restrictions as your personal data. If we cannot adequately anonymize data, we treat it as personal data under this Notice.

Payment Information

Payment information is collected and processed directly by Paddle, our Merchant of Record, and is not stored by us.

How We Share Your Data

• Service providers and subprocessors — including hosting, database, AI model, and analytics providers that help us operate the Service.
• Paddle — for the sale of our product, subscription management, payments, tax compliance, and invoicing.
• Professional advisers — such as legal and accounting advisers, where necessary.
• Authorities — where required by law or to protect our rights.
• Business transfers — if Saxton Resource Group LLC or JustSayThis.ai is acquired, merged, or transferred to another entity, your data may be transferred as part of that transaction. We will notify you via email and/or a prominent notice on the Service before your data becomes subject to a different privacy policy, and you will have the opportunity to delete your data at that time.
• Research and AI development partners — we may share anonymized, aggregated data with partners for research, AI development, or product improvement purposes. We will never share your personally identifiable data with these parties without your explicit consent.

Your Conversations

Your conversations, saved scripts, screenshots, and person notes are tied to your account. Our systems are configured so that each account can only read and change its own records — a signed-out visitor has no access to any of this data.

We do not sell or rent your personally identifiable conversations to third parties. We do not use your identified conversations to train publicly available AI models without your explicit consent.

We may use anonymized and aggregated versions of conversation data — with all identifying information removed — to improve our Service, develop new features, and for the research and development purposes described in this Notice. See the Anonymized and Aggregated Data section above for details.

Prompts and screenshots are sent to our AI provider only to generate your response and are subject to our AI provider's data handling practices.

You can download a copy of your data, or permanently delete every conversation, saved script, and person note, from your account page at any time. Note that your conversations are stored so we can show you your history; they are protected by access controls, not client-side end-to-end encryption.

Data Retention

We keep your personal data only for as long as necessary to provide the Service and for legitimate business or legal purposes. When data is no longer needed, we delete or anonymize it. Anonymized data derived from your account may be retained indefinitely as it no longer constitutes personal data.

International Transfers

Your data may be processed in countries outside your own, including outside the UK and EEA. Where this happens, we rely on appropriate safeguards such as Standard Contractual Clauses or adequacy decisions.

Your Rights

Depending on your location, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, restrict, or object to the processing of your personal data, to data portability, and to withdraw consent. If you are in the UK or EEA, you also have the right to lodge a complaint with your supervisory authority, and we will respond to requests within one month.

You also have the right to object to your data being used for anonymized research and AI development purposes. To exercise this right, contact us at hello@justsaythis.ai, and we will exclude your account's data from such use going forward. Note that data already anonymized and incorporated into aggregated datasets cannot be removed as it is no longer identifiable.

Security

We use appropriate technical and organizational measures, including encryption in transit, authenticated access, and per-account access rules enforced at the database level, to protect your personal data against unauthorised access, loss, or misuse.

Cookies

We use essential cookies required to operate the Service and may use analytics cookies to understand how the Service is used. You can manage non-essential cookies through your browser settings.

Changes to This Notice

We may update this Privacy Notice from time to time. When we make material changes, we will notify you by email or by a prominent notice on the Service at least 30 days before the changes take effect. Your continued use of the Service after that date constitutes acceptance of the updated Notice.
